Vote for ASW11 Sessions

Share and Comment

Well, that shows you how much I have blogged recently. My last post was about Affiliate Summit East and this is about Affiliate Summit West.  Maybe I need to step my game up.

Anyway, the voting is open for sessions for Affiliate Summit East. Overall the lineup of potential speakers and sessions seems to be pretty stacked. I generally don’t go to many sessions at these conferences but there are some I don’t want to miss and some I am really looking forward to either because I know the speakers and know they will deliver quality content or because it is a topic that interests me.

Shawn Collins and Missy Ward have put up a list of the sessions so the attendees can have their vote heard and can let the organizers of the conference know what they want to hear. The vote here isn’t the final say though. The sessions are chosen by the combined votes of the public and Affiliate Summit Advisory Board as well as feedback received from past speakers. Anyway, the link to vote is http://www.affiliatesummit.slinkset.com and you can just click on the up arrow next to the sessions you want to see.

Here are the sessions I am looking forward to an the ones I have voted for and why:

Inside the Minds of Affiiliates:  I know all four speakers on this panel and they all know their stuff. Eric Nagel, Kim Rowley, Tricia Meyer, and Greg Hoffman are all very knowledgable when it comes to giving affiliates what they want and how to motivate affiliates.

Profit from Trendspotting: Again, this is a panel filled with some friends of mine. I do quite a bit with hot trends and I am really interested to see what this affiliate marketing all star panel has to say.

Why Affiliates Should Dominate Local Marketing: Local marketing is something I am looking to get into more with a few new projects in the works so I think this will be a very helpful session for me. Angel Djambazov is very knowledgeable and I can’t wait to hear what he has to say about affiliate marketing in a local sphere.

The New SEO Toolset: Wil Reynolds is one of the best conference session speakers I have ever heard. You can ask anyone who has been to his sessions and they will tell you they are a can’t miss session. He will be dropping some great knowledge when it comes to the latest SEO tools. I would go see Wil if he was reading the phone book.

Local Lead Generation – Heaven & Hell: Again, with a couple projects in the cooker learning more about local lead generation will be very interesting. I want to see if there is something I am missing and Ad Hustler and Amanda will be sure to deliver some good info.

And of course there is the session I proposed:

Improving the Affiliate/Affiliate Manager Relationship: In this session I, Jamie Birch, Logan Thompson, and Jason Rubacky will be discussing the affiliate and affiliate manager relationship. From an affiliate perspective it is vital to have a good relationship with your affiliate managers. The better the relationship the more they will help you out. From an affiliate manager standpoint it is crucial to know what your affiliates want and need from you. We will be tackling this from the perspective of 2 affiliates, an affiliate management agency, and a network so we will be able to talk from all sides here. Vote for us! Yeah, that is a shameless plug.

So that is 6 sessions right now. And of course the keynotes by Dr. Drew Eric Whitman and Brian Solis should be excellent as well. There are usually more sessions that are announced later and others I will hear more about and end up going to but for now those are the ones that stand out and really interest me. Of course I know that some of these might not get chosen but I hope they are.

Which sessions are you looking forward to? Any other sessions I should take a look at? Leave a comment below and let me know.

Your list looks a lot like mine! As usual, there are some terrific presentations on the table. I always get so excited when I see the final agenda and then bummed when I don't get to attend the presentations because of time constraints. Thank goodness for the videos.

It usually seems like a lot of the sessions I want to see are scheduled at the same time. Hopefully that won't be the case this year. But yeah, I am glad when the videos come out.

  2. Well mine & Karen's, of course! Behind the Curtain of Affiliate Management! http://affiliatesummit.slinkset.com/items/Behind_

  3. I think I have just a few more on my list http://www.ericnagel.com/2010/10/vote-for-affilia

While there are many I'd like to see, if I miss them, that's OK – I just look for the videos a few weeks later.

I like your list dude. From looking at a few different lists like this out there they all seem to be somewhat similar. That is probably a good sign and indication of the kinds of sessions people want to see.
